Sarah Genevieve had her 4 month well-baby visit today with Dr. Savage (the doctor that also delivered her). She did really well with her vaccinations but Owen and I were both very surprised to find out that her weight is very low. She now is 24.5 inches long (55%), her wee head measures 39 cm (10%) and she weighs 11 pounds (5%)! We are working with her doctor to monitor her growth with weekly weight checks and I'm going to try and nurse her more frequently (every 2 hours again, just like a newborn). If in the next few weeks she isn't gaining, we will go see a GI specialist to see if she has a nutrient absorption problem. But, her development is right on! She's rolling over, smiling at anyone that will look at her, she talks lots and will stick anything in her mouth that she can get her little hands on :)
Our little one is doing great and we will keep everyone updated as we working on things!
