Grammy and Grampy come to visit!

We enjoyed a wonderful visit from my dad and stepmom this month! And as usual, we were too busy having fun to take pictures. Grammy and Grampy did an Easter egg hunt for the girls, flew in Texas BBQ for dinner one night, loaded the kids up with candy (as grandparents are entitled to do!), showered them with books, clothes, movies and crafts. Grammy picks out the best childrens books and the girls have loved reading them. Up to a week after they left to go home, they would ask if Grammy and Grampy were coming over to read them stories. Grammy helped SG work on her letters and she can now write her name and is getting better each day! Ben who is in the 'nervous around strangers' phase warmed up right away and it was so nice to have them meet their newest grandchild. Dad and Ben especially hit it off.

And I'm pleased to report, dad, we did find the last Easter egg a week later...the jelly beans were unharmed :)

I'm 6 months old!

What a wonderful 6 months its been! Benny is such a sweet boy. He's only fussy if he's tired, is so quick to smile and is the best snuggler. Here's some fun facts about our Benny Boy.

-he's 18.2lbs and 26ish inches long, probably more (its so hard to measure squirmy little ones)

-he sleeps like a rock, 7pm to 7am (I realize I'm very blessed!)

-he has beautiful strawberry blond hair, not as deep as Cecily's red but a Weasley none the less.

-he favorite mode of transport is rolling.

-loves being on his hands and knees, rocking away, he'll take off any day now, much to our dismay.

-great back scoocher, getting better pushing himself forward.

-he has one tooth!

-very ticklish toes :)

-awesome raspberry blower (girls never did that)

Just a genuinely happy little guy and we love him to pieces! Love you Ben!!
