Sarah's Allergies...

Well...
We thought our gassy meltdown days were over! We had a few good days in a row after I cut out soy from my diet but things soon went right back to where they were before. Grrr. I did some research and came across a diet that is supposed to help me find out what exactly is bothering her. The concept is- take everything out of your diet that could cause a reaction, then slowly add foods back in every 4 days. Simple enough, right? WRONG! The only foods I could eat for three days straight were: pears, squash, brown rice, sweet potato, and organic, free range turkey. This got really boring really fast. BUT the diet is working. She's has really good days since starting and I've even added back apples, strawberries, grapes, oatmeal and salmon. She still is really gassy but she's not in pain over it anymore, her tummy is feeling much better now! YAY! But it is really hard eating organic, gluten free, soy free, dairy free, egg free, wheat free, free range, no beef, no corn, no citrus, no cruciferous veggies, no caffeine, no tree nuts, no peanuts, no chocolate :(

I miss chocolate!!!

Comfort Measures

Playing Around

She's got talent!

Nobody freak out, we don't do this all the time :)

Thursday's Date

Every Thursday our good friends the Hills babysit Sarah for a few hours so Owen and I can get some things done without distraction. This has been such as help as Owen is able to accomplish a lot with his thesis and I am able to get a ton done for work. This last Thursday Owen and I decided to spend the afternoon together and do something fun. We went down to campus and had a J-Dawg for lunch. For those of you who haven't experience a J-Dawg before, it's pretty much the best hotdog in the world. Next time you visit we'll take you! After lunch Owen and I hiked the Y. Wow were we dumb to try and do that after a massive hotdog! We had a great time though (after the nausea subsided) and enjoyed a fabulous view from the top. It was so much fun to do and a really nice way to spend some time together. Thank you Hills!

Look at her go!

Sarah is growing so fast and it seems like everyday she is developing more and more. This week she's started batting at toys and grabbing for things...her favorite is daddy's nose. Here's Sarah on her play mat demonstrating her new skill!
