Sarah Genevieve turns 2!

My little girl turned 2 last week, I can't believe how fast those 2 years have gone by. I was up in Utah for a work trip to the theater and left both girls home with daddy for the week. They had a great time but it was REALLY hard for me to leave them especially Sarah over her birthday. I asked Owen to please try and do something special the day of, to which they when to Costco to shop and have hotdog, two of Sarah's favorite things, so she had a blast.

We had previously done the birthday cake thing when my parents where in town so when I got back from my trip we opened all the birthday presents and went out to dinner. I think next year when we have our own place I'll do a little party for her. The presents and cake are still thrilling enough for now :)

We just love our Buggy. I am so thankful for her energy, her excitement for life and about learning. She is so curious and a smart little cookie. She is going to be the one to get us up and going, to do adventurous things, keep us motivated. She's just like her mommy, really social and also makes friends wherever she goes, like her uncle DJ. Her zest for excitement and fun is contagious and while there certainly are days that her go go go personality is tiring for Owen and I, we wouldn't have her any other way. We have so much fun together and I can't wait to see and experience the fun things in life with her. Sarah has the energy to do great and wonderful things in the future and I am so happy to be her mom and be there to help her do it.

Mom and dad love you Buggy girl! Happy Birthday

Grammy and Grampy

Grammy and Grampy (my dad and stepmom) came to Vegas 2 weeks ago to visit us! We had an early birthday party for Sarah with ice cream cake from Baskin-Robbins and the works. Sarah LOVES clothes, and Grammy picked out some ADORABLE outfits from Gymboree...everything from the matching purse, and hair bows! Sarah was instantly in love :)

While they were in town we went to the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay and the girls had such a fun time. Cecily had a major blowout while at lunch but we pressed on and the girls did great. Sarah loved all the fish, especially since she knows Finding Nemo by heart. She'd go up to any display and ooh and aaw, she was not afraid of anything!

I think her favorites were the jellies (my least favorite! I'm so scared of those things) and the sharks. It was so cute and I have no idea why she did this but every time a big shark would swim by she would stretch her arms out and say "tickle, tickle shark!" She's still talking about her shark tickling 2 weeks later :)
Thank you dad and Carolyn for a lovely visit. We love you so much and thank you for the wonderful birthday gifts and fun memories we made!!!

chatty chatty chatty

Boy is Sarah ever! But I supposed it is to be expected from such a high energy little girl. Her favorite phrases of the week are...
"Mommy, I don't like it"
"Ceci, it's ok, don't cry"
"I'll be careful!" (she says as she scales the back of the sofa)
"Ceci, wake up, time to wake up!" (she's not so gentle about waking her sister)
"I'll do it, I'll do it!"
"Mommy, I'll be your helper"
"More shoopie yogurt, please" (strawberry yogurt, her FAVORITE!)

And, potty training update...
She is now over her little potty, she likes "mommy and daddy's potty" as she calls it. For those that have spent time around Sarah lately, you know she's a climber...a mountain goat, as the nursery leaders call her :) Well she loves to climb on the potty, and actually uses it!!! I'm thrilled about it, I hate cleaning out that dumb potty thing. And she wipes herself, yay! (well, supervised that is)

Our Sarah Genevieve turns two on Wednesday and has accomplished so much so far! We just love our little girl!

RIP Mac Powerbook

Well, this bites. Last week my laptop gave up the ghost, not to be revived. And it's going to cost me $50 just to get my stuff off. This now means neither Owen or I have a computer!!! Owen's died a year ago and now with mine gone, we feel majorly disconnected. Luckily while we are staying with my mom we can borrow her back up computer but we will eventually have to bite the bullet and get Owen one for school. So maybe I'll get one when he graduates...sniff, sniff, tear :(

But for the meantime, I have internet on my phone and we'll keep using mom's. Hopefully later this year when we are in school Owen can bring his home on the weekends so I can check email and keep up the blog.

So if the Williamsons seem a bit quiet on our blog, Facebook and responding to email...this is why. Bummer.
