We are here! We are here!

Wow! It was a LONG drive, but we made it! And had a lot of fun along the way. Here we are the morning we left in front of the POD. Mom wanted to take a picture...it was 95 degrees out so that's why we don't look too excited :)

We did surprisingly good! No tearful breakdowns. There were tears but we did ok!

So, I made up a TON of sandwiches before we left so we'd have lots of food on the way. We are still doing our gluten-free diet and well, store-bought-gluten-free bread isn't exactly thrilling. It tastes healthy, as Owen says. So we got sick of my sandwiches pretty fast!

I'm the only one that looks excited about lunch :) They weren't that bad!

Our nightly ritual: unpack car, set up beds, crank AC, strip, watch Yo Gabba Gabba and SYTYCD on the free WiFi

We stopped in New Mexico to look at the petroglyphs. It was hot. We didn't stay for very long.

Along the way we'd occasionally look up a local park on our GPS and let the girls run crazy for a bit...which they really appreciated!

In Texas we stopped for lunch and decided we needed to eat like the locals, so we ventured off the freeway and found a little hole in the wall BBQ place. Oh my gosh, it was amazing!!! But...haha funny story...I needed to go to the bathroom and I come across these two doors...

Ok people, I'm a California girl, we grow strawberries and the only cows you see are off the freeway because you're going from San Fransisco to LA, I don't know cows!! And I didn't know which door to go in! It really took me a full 30 seconds to think it through...I know, pathetic.

We stopped here for you Brad! You would have LOVED it!
(my little bro's name is Brad)

I'm so lame, we didn't take ANY picture in Oklahoma except these few of the girls at the park. We stayed with our bestest friends Becca and George and their little girl, Charlotte for a long weekend to break up the trip and to spend time with friends we don't see often enough. (I think I've almost convinced them to move to the VA!) We didn't take pictures because we were having SO MUCH FUN! Good food, scrabble, just dance, it was AWESOME! We miss you guys!!! Come see us soon!

So its our second night in our new home (neighborhood picts to come, seriously looks like a Thomas Kincade calendar!) and we are out for a walk in PLEASENTVILLE! Everyone is SO incredibly friendly and wave, its wonderful. But as we were walking home a dog followed us home. He was someones family pet and the nicest dog ever! I really wanted to keep him but we knew he belonged to someone. We affectionately called him Argyle, the name of the street we found him on. Sarah Genevieve called him white doggy and Owen played with him out front until Animal Control came to pick him up. We called later and found out he had been returned home.

Unpacking is going slow. And the other night I found that the girls didn't have clean pj's so they wore my old tee's, hey it worked! And they looked cute :)

So this is us, we are SO thankful to have found such a beautiful home with lots of room which means ALL OF OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS ARE INVITED! Please come stay with us anytime! We are right next to Virginia Beach (where I've decided I want to raise my kids and live out my days, SO beautiful! Its like New England meets Newport Beach!!) There is so much to do out here, did I mention the beach! There's dolphins!! Come see us soon everyone!
