The Official Annoucement!!

We have already told some of our family and we are so excited to let our friends know that we have accepted an offer from...

OLD DOMINION UNIVERSITY in Norfolk Virginia!!! Owen is attending to receive his PhD in International Studies with a focus on the Middle East. He is also currently working on learning Arabic and will also continue language classes at ODU.

We are SO excited about this! After lots of waiting and LOTS of prayers we are so happy about our decision. I have to admit that Virginia was my first choice and I am so glad things worked out this way. To be honest though, I am a little apprehensive about living on the east coast. I'm certainly a California girl. Provo is the farthest east I've ever lived! (well except my year in England, but that doesn't count!). But this will be an exciting adventure for our family, we are happy to go some place new together.

We will be moving in July, driving out with the girls and having our things shipped. We are calling our road trip our "family vacation" so it doesn't sound so scary :) but Owen and I are certainly looking forward to it! We're going to make it fun, lots of stops, swimming and fun things.

I am so proud of Owen! For all his hard work and always being willing to work hard for what he wants. I love you sweetie, you are so stinking smart and I am so happy you have this opportunity to earn a PhD, you are going to do great. And I'm SO excited to go to Virginia!!!

The New Crib

Cecily's new Million Dollar Baby crib. She loves it, more room to stretch out, roll around and stand up! Sarah got way too attached to her crib bedding and wasn't too happy to share it with Cecily. So we've adapted it for her toddler bed and got a killer deal on Cecily's new stuff.
We found both the crib and the bedding online...I love shopping from home :)

Cecily's "Danny Bear" she can't sleep without. From Uncle Danny of course.

My two favorite girls!

Happy Easter!

These pictures are in random order, I'm too tired to figure it out right now...

This first one I took to prove to my mom that Cecily NEEDS her own crib, a BIG crib, not the port-a-crib she's slept in for the last few months. It's worked great but this baby is getting too big and now that her sister has figured out how to get in...well...as you can see...

Sweet Ceci standing all on her own! She is even starting to take a few steps holding on to her baby stroller. It all happened SO fast! One week nothing, now she can't be stopped! Yesterday she crawled right out of the house through the open slinding door, and we found her playing in the dog water the day before...I know...mother of the year :(

Sarah excitedly eating her steak I did on the BBQ. If you look closely she is covered in her dinner. Funny girl.

Our Easter treats! The girls did Easter eggs that Nana got for them along with thier darling baskets. Grammy got them these cute bunnies along with Beatrix Potter books. The girls LOVED them!!! Grandma did jammys and a swimsuit for Sarah and Sandra Boynton books for Cecily. We had such a fun day.
Sarah loved looking for eggs. She call them "eggies" and played with them ALL day.

The girls play so well now that Cecily is up and on the go (you were right Angell!!) and they have so much fun together!
