Skinny Minnie

Well..Sarah has been seen weekly to monitor her weight and at her last appointment before our trip to California...she had fallen off the charts completely, below 0%! The good news is that she is still gaining, just at a REALLY slow rate. But since she is gaining they are not worried and I can stop bringing her in weekly and they will see her next at her 6 month appointment in a few more weeks. If she wasn't gaining at all they would then be concerned but the nurses say she is just a small little girl...so we're not too worried :)

Fourth of July "Street of Fire" at the Hill's in Spanish Fork

This was our second year attending the Hill's "Street of Fire" fourth of July event! Every 4th the Hill's put on Street of Fire to combat Provo's Stadium of Fire, this year featuring Miley Cyrus and Blue Man Group (no, thanks). We had a fantastic time...Sarah learned how to hold her bottle, we played on the hammock and swings, Sarah LOVED the fireworks, and we won the edible art contest for FOR THE 2ND YEAR IN A ROW!! Yay team Williamson!

Daddy and Sarah in the grown-ups hammock at the Hills house on the Fourth of July. It took a little convincing for mom to allow me to have Sarah pose with me for this one. She was quite convinced that we would go crashing to the ground at any minute. So we didn't spend much time lounging around as we don't like to worry the mommy.

A good example of Dad's poor photography skills. In any case we noticed that Sarah was making her old man face (a cheery version of old father Steptoe). Besides we wanted to make sure that we caught how cute her mommy was looking on the Fourth.

Above - Dad playing on the swing, making a ridiculous face.
Below - Mom playing more sensibly as the sun went down.

Our winning entry last year...

This was our 1st fourth of July together! We took first place with our "Bleeding Bald Eagle cake"

2008 Winner! Lady Liberty in Candy (thanks for the help Jen!)

By this point in the day her sour apple blowpop head had been eaten...and yes that is a Swedish Fish she's holding.

Look what Miss Manda did! (the babysitter)

Sarah vs Watermelon

We weighed both the little lady and the watermelon, while Sarah was certainly longer she was not the weigh in winner. She was a little under 12 pounds while the watermelon (which took some eating) was well over 20!

Tired little girl...
