We love Sundays

We love Sundays at our house! The girls love getting their "dressies" on and they know mom's packing the really good snacks for church :)

We had such a fun Saturday. Sarah and Owen LOVE LOVE LOVE swimming and Sarah has been so excited to have the big pool back up. It's getting warmer and warmer everyday...still a little too cold for mom but Sarah and Owen dive right in!

I love Cecily's smile but I still can't get a good one out of Sarah!!

Cecily had her first taste of watermelon on Saturday and she LOVED it!!! She doesn't look too excited but believe me, she went nuts!

Summer Haircut

Sarah starts gymnastics in two weeks and now that the pool is up and getting warm she needed a more practical hairstyle for the summer...so mom cut bangs :) Her hair literally grows straight forward in her face so instead of fighting it with clips and goofy looking ponies, I did this, and I think is suits her cheeky personality!

I asked her to smile and this is the face she gave me! Funny girl!

Bye Bye Binky

Sarah Genevieve is 2 years and 3 months and I feel it is HIGH time that she ditch the passy. The Dr. said so too at her 2 year appointment. Plus she just looks ridiculous sucking on that stupid thing. We've (or rather) I've been putting it off to focus on potty training, my work trips to Utah, sickness...I've found may excuses. It is just a fight I haven't wanted to start. She's ALWAYS been a great sleeper and she has a SOLID bedtime routine, I just decided to take the binky out of it. Jammies-teeth-prayers-bed-blanket-Gloria-another prayer-song...NO more binky!

I cut up ALL of them up (she calls the punctured binkys "dirty bobbies") gave her each one to try. After she decided they were all dirty bobbies, she threw them in the trash. And that was that! She's asked for them at bedtime the last few days but with a reminder that she thew them away she says "oh, ok". No crying, nothing! She's amazing.

If I'd known it was that easy I'd have done it a long time ago!! We are so happy to be done with them, its really convenient that Cecily doesn't like them :)

Well, the binky was a parent's best friend for quite a while, but I'm glad to be done...one less thing for me to carry around in my bag!

I rescind my previous statement...

I just wanted to put it out there and make good to all the friends who rolled their eyes at me, and hopefully didn't take offence...

And I'm not going to link said statement to be reread, it would just embarrass me further.

But, I do not hate Twilight and Stephanie Meyer.

I'm almost through Breaking Dawn...in about a weeks time I'll have finished the whole series.

I bought New Moon on DVD.

I'm really excited about Eclipse next month.

I suppose I just didn't want to jump on the bandwagon, we'll I guess you could say I'm on now and enjoying the ride.

Feel free to tell me "you told me so"...Jen, Becca, Mom, Kylie, Megan...

I apologize for being a brat.

Nana and Honey's visit

Kim, Owen's mom (aka Nana) and her good friend Winnie (aka Honey) came over from Scotland for a visit last month. We all had SO much fun together!! I think we shopped till we dropped, for sure :) Here's some pictures from their visit...
Sarah, opening Easter presents from Winnie. Man, did those two ladies spoil my girls!!! It was so much fun. Sarah could not pronounce "Winnie", it came out like "Honey" so that's what we all started calling her, so cute!

Owen and his mom :)

Sarah pulls faces in EVERY picture I have on her! Crazy girl!

Thank you so much for the wonderful visit Nana and Honey, come back and see us soon!!!
