Sarah Genevieve is 2 years and 3 months and I feel it is HIGH time that she ditch the
passy. The Dr. said so too at her 2 year
appointment. Plus she just looks ridiculous sucking on that stupid thing. We've (or rather) I've been putting it off to focus on potty training, my work trips to Utah, sickness...I've found may excuses. It is just a fight I haven't wanted to start. She's ALWAYS been a great sleeper and she has a SOLID bedtime routine, I just decided to take the
binky out of it.
Jammies-teeth-prayers-bed-blanket-Gloria-another prayer-song...NO more
binky!
I cut up ALL of them up (she calls the punctured
binkys "dirty bobbies") gave her each one to try. After she decided they were all dirty bobbies, she threw them in the trash. And that was that! She's asked for them at bedtime the last few days but with a reminder that she thew them away she says "oh,
ok". No crying, nothing! She's amazing.
If I'd known it was that easy I'd have done it a long time ago!! We are so happy to be done with them, its really
convenient that Cecily doesn't like them :)
Well, the
binky was a parent's best friend for quite a while, but I'm glad to be done...one less thing for me to carry around in my bag!
