So...I need to have validation that my child is not the only "food hoarder" out there. Literally, she will stuff food in her cheeks like a little chipmunk and open her mouth like "I'm ready for more food mom". It's so funny to see her do this. However...this morning I added fresh pureed blueberries to her oatmeal and like any little chipmunk would do, she stuffed her cheeks full of anything that would not be easily swallowed, today it was blueberry skins. Well after breakfast was all said and done, Owen took her out of the high chair, brought her into the living room where she promptly sneezed expelling ALL the blueberry skins from her mouth onto the carpet. Gross.
Happy Halloween from the Williamsons! MaryAnn AKA Sarah Palin kissing babies! Check out these series of pictures. Sarah decided to be brave and jump right in! She loves candy! Don't worry, we didn't really let her eat it, just holding it was enough :)
For mother's group a few weeks ago we went to Thanksgiving Point with the kids to see their animals. It was really fun and Sarah's favorite was the turkey that looked really agitated and aggressive but Sarah just though he was playing with her...scary. This is what Sarah was staring at so intently...
Welcome to our family blog! We are currently in Norfolk VA for Owen's PhD program at Old Dominion University. Stacey is working part-time as a "hair-extraordinaire". Sarah Genevieve is 5 years old and is full of energy, always ready for anything, as long as its fun. Cecily will be 4 in June and is our go-with-the-flow girl, she's so sweet and very girlie and has the most gorgeous ginger curls. Ben is our little man but we can hardly call him little! He is such a sweet little guy, always happy and loves his big sisters.
9/15/11 I know I'm driving a little too fast when I hear the girls saying (in unison!) "WEEEEE, WEEEEEE" as I'm taking turns on the road...oops, slow down mom! 7/1/11 We've just finished breakfast. GF pancakes, eggs and bacon. Cecily, with her mouth full mutters something completely unintelligible. I ask her, "what did you say Cec?" SG responds in the most casual, nonchalant voice, "Mom, she just said she wants more bacon." Wow, thanks, at least someone around here can interpret toddlerese :)
6/28/11 We are at the mall walking from parking through Dillard's to get to the kids play area. As we are walking through Dillard's Ceci says as we walk closely past a mannequin, "Grandma?" I guess she knows where my mom likes to shop! She was right on!
6/23/11 We are in the car and SG is fidgeting in her seat. I ask her what's wrong and she says, "Mom, I've got the wedgie!"
6/5/2011 SG unscrewed the top to her water bottle, took a big sniff and said in a very concerned tone, "Mom, I can't smell my water!" Me, "Sweetheart, water doesn't have a smell" SG, "Oh, ok mom"...just one of those little lessons in life I didn't imagine needing to give, but maybe as kids we just didn't know that till someone told us!
3/26/2011 Looking at a family picture I ask SG who is in the picture..."Nana, daddy, Ceci and me!" I ask, "whose holding you?" SG says very matter-of-factly, "that's my dad, he takes care of me, he's a good boy".
3/24/2011 SG chasing after Cecily (who is successfully getting away) with a diaper and box of wipes..."come here stinky stinker! you stink!"
3/14/2011 Seeing a bag of chocolate chips on the bookshelf that Owen left out..."Mom, look! Chipmunks!" Me, "what?" SG "up there mom! chipmunks!" I look outside. "No, by those books" then I see them. "oh, you mean chips" SG, "oh yeah, that's right (laugh, laugh) they're chips, I called them chipmunks...I'm funny!"
